I don’t remember my username and password from last year?

You will not need your information from last year. Student registration will be done via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Check your registration letter for details. If you do not receive a letter and you are a primary guardian of a current student, call 319.753.6791 x1420, text to 319.481.3401 or email registration@bcsds.org.

What do I do if I don't get a registration letter?

Have you moved and not updated your address with the district?  Are you primary household and legal guardian? Step parents do not have update rights.

Call 319.753.6791 x1420, text to 319.481.3401 or email registration@bcsds.org.  A letter will be sent to you if you are a primary guardian.

I received my letter, but where is my student’s information?

Student information is not required to be included in the letter.

What information do I need to register my student(s)?

You will need the following:

1 – Household information (address and phone numbers)

2 – Parent Information (work and cell phone numbers, email addresses)

3 – Student Information (demographics and health/medication information)

4 – Emergency Contact (address and phone numbers)

I do not have access to a computer or the Internet.  Where can I register online?

We have two locations where you can register your student(s) online from 10 am to 3 pm beginning on July 13th:

Monday-Friday:  James Madison Educational Center (JMEC), 2132 Madison Avenue

Monday-Thursday: BCSD Administration Building, 1429 West Avenue

After August 1st, you should also be able to register online at the buildings.

Please bring your letter for reference.  Any phone or computer that has Internet access can be used to register your student.

When I log into the Parent Portal, it asks me for an email address.  It never has before. Why?

It is required to allow you to receive emails if you need to recover a login id or password.  It will be used to communicate with you during the registration process.

How do I get a personal email account if I don’t have one?

You will need to create an email account to use the parent portal and register.  Google.com has an email application called gmail, Yahoo.com and MSN.com both have email applications.  If you go out to any of those websites, instructions should be available on how to create an email account.

I see my student’s name on the list, but it doesn’t allow me to edit.  Why?

In order to register a student you must be the student’s primary guardian.  If you are not the student’s guardian, you cannot register the student. If you are a guardian, but do not live in the primary household, you cannot register the student.

When I log into the Parent Portal and try to register my child, it says that they are not included and reason is “Not Primary Household”.  What does that mean?

In order to register the student, you must be a guardian and living in the primary household.

How will I know that my student is registered?

You will receive an email notification that your application was received after you submit it.  Another email will notify you if it was approved.

Where do I pay the fees?  Can I pay them online?

Fees can be paid either at the school buildings or online in the RevTrak application.  When you receive email notification that your registration was approved, there will be a link to create a RevTrak account, if you do not have one yet.  Textbook fees, food service fees, and optional fees, such as driver education and activity passes, can be purchased for your student on RevTrak.

Will the fees reflect my free/reduced status?

No.  If you have questions about your free/reduced status, contact Food Service at 319.753.0624.

Do I still need to fill out forms?  Where can I get them? Are they online forms?

The forms cannot be filled out online.  You will need to print, fill out and sign field trip/photo/severe weather form, Internet usage form, and any health related forms that you require for conditions or medications.  They will need to be taken to your student’s school or dropped off at the Administration Building.

Forms can be found under "Registration Documents" in the Navigation Box at the top left hand side of this page.

Where can I find a school supply list?

The area businesses that sell school supplies have copies of our district school supply lists available to the public.

Documents, such as school supply lists, district calendar or student handbooks, can be found under "Registration Documents" in the Navigation Box at the top left hand side of this page.
